• Know more than one language

• Some people don't speak English
• Know a language that is spoken by a large segment of the population other than English

It's probably a good idea to know a couple languages because not all people speak English. You should know a common language, like Spanish.

• Like animals!!!!

• you would be stupid if you were a vet and you don't like animals
• you work with animals pretty much the whole time.

Vets work with animals all the time and if you don't like them, you probably won't like your job. Also you probably won't care about the animals.

• Know how to use the technical equipment

• if you don't know how to use the different tools, the animal could die

there is a lot of different tools that you have to know how to use.

• Have good people skills

• if you are rude to the people, they probably won't like you working on their animals
• the animals will KILL you if their people don't like you

You have to be nice to the people because they won't want you to work with their animals.

• Know what to do in and emergency

• you might have to help the animals fast so they live.
• be calm

If you start freaking out and the animal is dying, you are going to stress yourself out and it won't be very good...
